Ready to Paddle? Join the conversation! All club activity happens in our official Telegram Group.
We are a casual, community-driven group of paddlers in the Applegate Valley and Southern Oregon who share a passion for self-powered exploration on the water.
The Applegate Paddling Club exists to connect local enthusiasts who enjoy kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), rafts and other self-powered craft. Our goal is to make it easier to find paddling partners, discover new launch spots, and share knowledge about water conditions and gear.
We operate entirely through our Telegram group, where members coordinate spontaneous trips, discuss safety, swap gear tips, and share photos from their adventures.
We are not a formal organization that runs guided or official club trips. This approach is key to promoting a culture of responsible, independent paddling.
Build Connections: We provide the space (via Telegram) for you to meet like-minded paddlers.
Share Information: We are a hub for discussing local water levels, river access, and safety best practices.
Encourage Self-Organized Trips: We empower members to plan their own outings and invite others to join them.
To respect private property along the Applegate River and other local waterways, and to promote responsible use of our rivers and lakes, we do not organize large, formal group trips or events. We encourage all members to be mindful of and respectful towards both private landowners and other users of the water.
We look forward to connecting with you on Telegram and seeing you on the water!
